Welcome Back!

It's been 8 years since I've posted anything on this blog. Since then a lot has happened in my life. My son received the gift of life from a brother of mine in 2013. He received a kidney. I ran the Boston Marathon twice. I qualified the first time in the 2014 Erie Marathon. I am now a Certified Personal Trainer with specialties in functional movement and behavioral change to go along with my adult running coach certification. I like to spend my life reading and learning all I can to make myself as educated, positive, and useful as possible. Not so fun things have happened to me as well. I lost several good friends to early death. I am now single again. Now we are dealing with a pandemic. Things you can't control for $1,000, Alex! I try to take each experience, good or bad, and turn them into learning. I noticed that I was spending way too much time on social media, especially Facebook, with the extra time I now had. There are lots of opinions, false statements, and downright evil to go with the good part of staying connected to many people that I normally would have been able to before Facebook. I decided to come back here and use my time in what I feel is a better and more positive way of communicating. Come along for the ride, it's free! I have enjoyed the last 12 months of my life more than any other time. I have met hundreds of good people, most of which I never would have if it weren't for the bad things that happened to me. So the lesson for me here is make good from the bad. It is hard not to, but unhealthy to dwell on the negativity. Find a way to look for the good. It always defeats evil. That's why I am back here again! Feel free to leave comments or click on the email link and let me know what's on your mind! I will try to post as often as the thoughts come to me. This is my journal for the world to see. Nothing to hide here.
